The Problem

You know you should post.
You don't.

01

No time to think.

Between client work and fires, content is the thing that gets pushed. Always. By Friday it's still on the list.

02

Nothing feels worth posting.

You don't want to sound like a LinkedIn lunatic. So you post nothing — and the algorithm forgets you exist.

03

Trends move faster than you do.

By the time you've picked an angle, the news has moved on. The window closed two days ago.

The Method

Three moves.
That's the whole thing.

01

Tell us about you.

Share your LinkedIn, a short bio, and what you want to be known for. Three minutes, tops.

02

We track your industry.

Every week, we identify the trends, conversations, and signals moving in your niche. Not headlines, underlying shifts.

03

A post every weekday.

One LinkedIn post every weekday. In your voice. With the reasoning. Plus a Sunday signal email previewing the full week.

A Sample Issue

Every email shows

Fractional executive model gaining mainstream UK acceptance

Bessemer's April founder playbook reframes fractional senior hires as a diagnostic stage, not cost-saving. Shift in how VCs now advise founders on leadership sequencing.

Founder-led sales losing ground to premature GTM hires

Seed-stage founders being pushed to hire a head of marketing before they've figured out what marketing is doing for them. The advice is starting to reverse.

UK seed funding tightening into mid-2026

UK seed rounds are harder to close and investors are asking sharper questions on ICP clarity. Marketing hires being deferred; discovery-first work is being rewarded.

AI tools replacing early-stage marketing hires

Founders leaning harder on generic AI content tools for early marketing. The output isn't producing positioning, and the conversation is reopening on founder LinkedIn.

AI tools cannot write your positioning

Founders are using AI to write their website copy, their LinkedIn posts, their cold emails, and almost none of it is working.

The fractional CMO question founders ask wrong

Most founders ask me whether they need a fractional CMO. That's almost never the right question.

The two-hour ICP exercise every founder skips

Most founders I work with have never done this exercise. It takes two hours and it changes everything downstream.

Three signs a founder isn't ready to hire marketing

I've worked with four founders this year who hired a head of marketing before they were ready. All four made the same mistakes first.

BE A THOUGHT LEADER · THURSDAY 23 APRIL

Today's post.

OPINION · Fractional executive model gaining mainstream UK acceptance

Some founders hire me because they can't afford a full-time CMO. Those are usually my worst engagements. The reason is simple. They want a head of marketing for a quarter of the price. That is not what fractional is. Fractional works when the founder has decided they don't want a full-time CMO yet, because they know the job at this stage isn't execution, it's figuring out what should be executed at all. If you're hiring me hoping I'll run your marketing three days a month, we'll both be frustrated by week four. I won't. I can't. The founders who get the most out of this know that going in.

Why this post now: Bessemer's April piece on the founder playbook for scaling to £1M ARR reinforces what most seed investors are quietly saying. Fractional senior hires are no longer framed as a cost-saving workaround, they're framed as a diagnostic stage used to figure out what a founder would actually ask a full-timer to do.
